De ontdekking van Antwerpen: week 13

Deze week weer een kerk en wel een de erg imposant Carolus-Borromeuskerk aan het Hendrik Conscienceplein pal in het centrum van Antwerpen. Het is een prachtige barokke kerk, waar onder andere Paul Rubens de hand in had. De kerk is helaas in 2009 getroffen door een brand, maar gelukkig bleef de schade beperkt.

This week a church and a very posh one: the Carolus Borromeus church at the Hendrik Conscienceplein in the centre of the city. It's a very lovely baroque church, some elements are even from the painter Paul Rubens. The church had a fire in 2009. There was luckily not a lot of damage.
